EAST GRAND FORKS, MINN. (Valley News Live)- A benefit aimed to help raise money for 54-year-old Bret Rowley is canceled.

The benefit was supposed to be this Saturday at the American Legion in East Grand Forks.

It was a spaghetti feed to help defray hospital costs that incurred after Rowley suffered a massive heart attack.

The American Legion told Valley News Live that they don't know why the benefit is cancelled, but it just is.

Court records show Rowley recently failed to register as a sexual offender.
