Becker County Sheriffs Office is investigating an incident where a man pulled over a woman in her vehicle and impersonated a law enforcement officer.

Officials say this incident happened before 7:00 p.m. Monday night, near Lake Park, Minnesota. The woman was driving on Highway 7 when a vehicle in front of her activated white and blue lights on the rear window. The female pulled over as she believed she was being stopped by an officer.

The sheriff's office said a man approached her vehicle and told her that she had broken taillight and asked for her identification, and for her to step out of the vehicle. When the woman noticed he did not appear as an officer, she asked to see his credentials, which is when the male went back to his vehicle and then left the scene.

The male was described as 25-30 years of age, 6'0 tall, goatee beard, wearing a black winter hat, a dark jacket with what appeared to be a radio microphone on the lapel of the jacket

The vehicle was described as a newer white jeep.

Anyone who has information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Becker County Sheriff's Office at 218-847-2661.
