Three arrested after high speed chase in Becker County
Three people were arrested early Wednesday after a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle in Becker County, Minnesota.
The Becker County Sheriff's Office says they got a call around 8:30 a.m. on a report of people shoplifting inside Seven Sisters Spirits. The suspect vehicle left the scene when deputies arrived, which turned into a high-speed chase reaching 90 mph.
A PIT maneuver was performed, ending the pursuit at the intersection of 290 Avenue, where then four occupants fled the vehicle.
Two of the passengers were apprehended immediately; the driver and the front passenger were eventually captured by a K9 team in a heavily wooded area.
The car was confirmed stolen out of Fargo, and an deputies found an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine in the car.
28-year-old Casey Ray Adam of Moorhead and 33-year-old Danielle Nicole Abendano of Detriot Lakes were both arrested on outstanding warrants with new charges pending. One other passenger was arrested and taken to jail on out of county warrants; the fourth passenger was later released.
