Barnesville man arrested on child sex crimes

A former assistant high school track coach has been indicted on suspicion of five felony sex crimes involving a child (MGN).

BARNESVILLE, Minn. (Valley News Live) Minnesota law enforcement agencies have arrested a man for several charges related to child sex crimes.

Forrest Austin Trent, 31, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. in Barnesville by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Barnesville Police Department, according to authorities.

Trent’s facing several charges, including dissemination of child pornography and possessing child porn, according to the Barnesville Police Department.

He was taken into custody without incident on the 200 block of Front Street.

Police said the investigation first began by an out-of-state agency and then the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was contacted. They in turn contacted the Clay County deputies.
