Man struck by train, injuries unknown

Moorhead, Minn. (Valley News Live) 6:30 Update:

Just before 5pm, Moorhead Police along with the Moorhead Fire Department and FM Ambulance responded to the railroad crossing located near 1st Avenue and 11th Street North for a report of a pedestrian that had been hit by a train. The male victim was transported to Sanford with unknown injuries. The Moorhead Police Department continues to investigate the incident and requests that if you have information regarding this incident to please call the Red River Dispatch Center at 701.451.7660.


Officials say around 5 Thursday evening they received a report of an adult crawling around a moving train. They tell us a person sustained an injury. The train stopped as a result of the report.

Authorities also tell us moving on or around rail equipment on railroad property is extremely dangerous and is trespassing.
