Nationwide, con artists steal billions of dollars from seniors every year. Just recently, an abundance of medical device scams have popped up on BBB’s radar. These tactics involve scammers calling seniors to say they qualify for a back brace or other medical device paid for by Medicare. Sometimes medical equipment even shows up at people’s homes, and Medicare is billed without the patient’s knowledge.

These tricky scams come in all shapes and sizes, and our mission at BBB is to keep consumers on their toes to protect their money and identities. Learn about similar scams and ask questions of fraud experts at the Moorhead Scam Jam on June 26.
