ATV and fish house break through the ice in Douglas County

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Minn. (Valley News Live) - An ATV and fish house went through the ice in Douglas County this weekend.

Minnesota's Department of Natural Resources says the ice went from 8 inches thick to just half-an-inch, causing the ATV and the fish house to break through the ice.

Fortunately, no one was hurt - but the DNR warns people to check ice thickness at least every 150 feet because ice can vary widely in quality.
