Names of victims involved in fatal Manvel crash released

We now know the names of the victims in the fatal crash that happened Wednesday night in Manvel.

North Dakota State Troopers say, Amanda Brantl, 40 and her son Atlas, 3 were killed after the car they were in left the roadway and went into the Turtle River.

Two people are dead including a 3-year-old, after the vehicle they were in left the roadway, overturned and went into the Turtle River.

The crash happened around 3:15 Wednesday afternoon on 17th Street NE about three miles south of Manvel. Troopers with the North Dakota High Patrol say a 40-year-old woman driving a Volkswagen was heading north on 17th Street when it left the roadway.

The driver and a 3-year-old in the car were taken to Altru Hospital where they died.

Names are being withheld pending notification of family. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
