3 people arrested after Grand Forks police dog sniffs out drugs

GRAND FORKS, N.D. - (Valley News Live) A Grand Forks police dog is receiving credit for taking drugs off the streets.

Cpl. Andrew Ebertowski and K9 Shelby assisted Grand Forks County deputies Saturday morning during a traffic stop, according to the Grand Forks Police Department.

The K9 sniffed a motor vehicle in the 4300 block of Gateway Dr. and detected the odor of illegal narcotics.

As a result, three people were arrested for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Law enforcement seized a large amount of marijuana, methamphetamine, and oxy pills, according to police.

They also confiscated approximately $3,500 in cash.
