An 18-year-old East Grand Forks woman was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries after she suffered a medical condition and rolled her vehicle on Saturday morning.

The Grand Forks Police Department said Dolores Arroyo was in a 2008 Pontiac, headed westbound in approximately the 1100 block of Demers Avenue, when she suffered an apparent medical condition.

Arroyo lost control of her vehicle, causing it to go across the eastbound lanes and off the roadway before striking a concrete curb adjacent to Independence Park. The vehicle flipped on its roof.

Arroyo and a passenger exited the vehicle with assistance. Arroyo was transported to Altru with unknown injuries.

The passenger, a 17-year-old East Grand Forks resident, was released to parents.

Each occupant was wearing a sealtbelt.

Nobody was cited in the crash, and it remains under investigation.

Grand Forks police were assisted by the Grand Forks Fire Department and Altru Health Systems.
