Spice it up! These dry rubs will become a must-have for summer cookouts

NDSU's Meat Science department let us in on their secret recipes to making our pork chops, burgers and steaks more flavorful. After the first bite, they will become a staple at any summer cookout.

Carnivore Italiano
- 1/3 cup salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 3/4 tsp granulated garlic
- 1/2 tsp ground basil
- 1/2 tsp ground oregano

Cowboy rub
- 1 tbsp coffee
- 1 tbsp salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp granulated garlic
- 1 tsp dried thyme leaves
- 1 tsp sugar
