Spay Day USA

Tuesday is Spay Day USA. It’s a day to help control the pet overpopulation and decrease the number of homeless and euthanized animals.

Homeward Animal Shelter in Fargo spays and neuters their animals before adoption.

They do this to help decrease the number of homeless animals that are put down in the animal pound.

Heather Clyde, the Operations Director of the shelter says they have more cats then dogs to adopt out, but they spay or neuter each pet that needs it.

Clyde says it’s important to spay and neuter your pet because you can save their life.
