Safety Advice: Keeping kids safe on their walk to school

You may notice more kids out walking in the morning. It is the first day back to school for kids in Fargo.

Unintentional pedestrian injuries are the fifth-leading cause of injury-related death in the U.S. for children ages 5 to 19, according to Safe Kids Worldwide.

And, as kids head back to school, preparing them to be safe is important.

But, it's also important for drivers to remember to be even more cautious as kids are walking and biking to and from school.

Sanford Children's Community Life Educator Greta Miller shared some great reminders for families on North Dakota Today.
