Fargo, N.D. (Valley News Live) A new National Weather Service flood forecast shows the Red River in Fargo hitting minor flood stage by Saturday night.
On Friday, March 29 at 9:15 a.m., the Red River was at 16.5 feet in Fargo. By Saturday night, the river is expected to hit 18 feet, that's minor flood stage.
Over the weekend, the city of Fargo expects to shut down parts of Elm St.
By Thursday, April 4, the Red is expected to hit 23 feet. The Weather Service says the river may continue to rise after hitting 23 feet.
A bridge on North Broadway would then be impacted, shutting it down.
