From 120 to 3,200 cupcakes: Addie's Royal Cupcake Stand is back for its 6th year
In 2013, Addie Loerzel's dream came true when the Sunshine Foundation granted her wish to meet the princesses at Disney World. Since then, Addie has wanted to pay it forward and raise money to help others get the trip of their dreams. How did she do it? By starting a lemonade and cupcake stand in her yard.
The first year of the stand, 120 cupcakes were given out. Six years later, Addie, her mom and a group of volunteers have made 3,200 cupcakes for the big day. To get a cupcake, all Addie asks is for a free will donation. All the funds will be going back to the Sunshine Foundation so a child can get their wish granted. This year, two children will be given their wish. Last year, Travis was the lucky kid who got to meet Spongebob at Universal Studios.
Addie's Royal Cupcake Stand will be at First International Bank & Trust in Moorhead. The stand will run from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on August 13th.
