For three days, thousands will gather in downtown Fargo for another year of the annual street fair. This marks the 44th year of the Downtown Street Fair with new additions, like a stage where live entertainment is programmed for all three days.
The Street Fair covers 8 blocks, extending North on Broadway from 1st Avenue to 7th Avenue North and continues east on 4th Avenue North from Broadway to 2nd Street North.
Last year was the first year that alcohol was available at the Street Fair and it will be back again with over nine different vendors. People will have to follow the same protocol, with alcohol only being served in the plastic cups provided by the Downtown Community Partnership.
Among the alcohol, there will be over 40 food vendors and 150 different artists and crafters. This isn't all. There will be carriage rides, a petting zoo, face painting and more!
When it comes to transportation and parking, there are many ways to get down to the fair.
- LinkFM will provide free rides from the Moorhead Center Mall. Buses will arrive at both pickup and drop off locations every five minutes.
- Parking is available in Roberts Garage. The garage is one block west of Broadway at Roberts Street and 2nd Avenue North. The parking ramp is free after 5 p.m. and on weekends.
- Matbus is available on scheduled routes. Fares are half price on Thursday and Friday and free on Saturday.
