The fair is hosting “Christmas in July,” a winter wonderland experience featuring hundreds of Christmas lights and a visit with Santa Claus himself. The display is located near the North Gate inside the Foltz Building, and seeing Santa is free.

“I think it’s an awesome thing to see all these kids come and see me and all of the lights and think about Christmas coming soon, but it is July,” Santa said.

Families can bring their kids to sit and talk with Santa and take a photo with the big guy while they’re at it.

The Red River Valley Fair runs through July 12. For more information, visit the fair’s official website.
