Large turnout for ‘No Kings’ protest outside Fargo City Hall
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Saturday is “No Kings nationwide day of defiance,” with protests happening across the country against President Donald Trump and his administration.
The protest at Fargo City Hall is from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and the front lawn is packed with people holding signs and American flags.
Fargo Police have a presence at City Hall, and say it’s to ensure the First Amendment is protected. They told Valley News Live on Friday that they were expecting a peaceful protest, but are prepared if anything got out of hand.
Valley News Live has a team, and a team at the protest happening at Town Square in downtown Grand Forks. We will bring you the latest as the protest continues.
Protests across Minnesota have been canceled after a Minnesota lawmaker was assassinated early Saturday morning. Police say the suspect had flyers for ‘No Kings’ protests in his vehicle.
