First debate held for 2022 Fargo mayoral candidates
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - There are seven people running for the Fargo mayor seat and the first debate was held at the Sanctuary Event Center. Mayor Tim Mahoney and four other candidates spoke on topics such as affordable housing and workforce shortages.
Other topics included the sale of alcohol at the FARGODOME and public safety in town.
Arlette Preston, Hukun Dabar, Sheri Fercho and Michael Borgie were the four candidates in attendance while Shannon Roers Jones and Dustin Thomas Elliott were not. Roers Jones was not there due to travel plans while Elliott was home taking care of sick children.
The next debate is set up for April 26 at city hall and is being held by the League of Women Voters of the Red River Valley.
