FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - After a string of robberies since Tuesday, 21-year-old Hunter Havisto was finally arrested as a suspect by the Fargo Police Dept. Havisto was taken into custody off 9th Ave. S. at around 3:30 P.M.

“It’s nice that they’re quick to act on it and to find this guy.” said Janelle Cave. “You worry, you’re worried about what could happen to yourself, to your family. I mean, you don’t know what someone is capable of.”

However, with the recent crime spree and police activity in the neighborhoods off 23rd St. S., some neighbors are not feeling particularly safe at home.

“I don’t feel safe in this neighborhood after that happened.” said Miriam Bagola.

Officers were patrolling the area throughout the afternoon trying to locate Havisto. They eventually locked down the 9th Ave. S. as they closed in on the 2100 block.

In the span of three days, Havisto is accused of robbing the Walmart and Casey’s General Store on Tuesday, the M&H gas station at gunpoint on Wednesday and the Mister Money at gunpoint on Thursday. Fargo PD is now saying that the area can rest easy with Havisto off the streets.

“I feel really good about the job that Fargo PD has done as far as catching this guy and looking for him because it definitely makes a person feel good that they’re quick to take care of something like that.” said Cave.

Fargo PD is still investigating the robberies.
