Man arrested after officers find fentanyl and meth during traffic stop

STUTSMAN COUNTY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com/Valley News Live) - One man is in jail after officers in Stutsman County found a large amount of drugs, cash and a gun during a routine traffic stop.

On Tuesday, May 25, Stutsman County Lt. Jonathan Hirchert reported approximately 200 suspected fentanyl pills, 20 grams of methamphetamine, $1,400 in cash and a loaded firearm during the stop. The drugs have an estimated street value of approximately $8,000.

Colton Dade was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and carrying a concealed weapon. His bond is set at $50,000.

“Law enforcement would like to remind the community of the dangers of these pills,” Lt. Hirchert added. “The pills are designed to represent 30 milligram Oxycodone but contain an unknown amount of fentanyl.”

The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Stutsman County Narcotics Task Force and the Jamestown Police Department.
