Fargo Public Schools offering free meals for the rest of school year

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - All Fargo Public Schools students will get free meals for the rest of the 2020-2021 school year.
The free meals come from a funding extension from the United States Department of Agriculture as the country continues to recover from COVID-19.
This is a continuation of the USDA Summer Food Service Program, which the USDA extended in September. The USDA has now been extended the program through the 2020-2021 school year.
Fargo Public Schools will continue to track when students eat breakfast or lunch. Students will log their meals by using their student lunch account number as normal. Current funds in a student account can be held for when charges resume or for a la carte items. Families are still encouraged to fill out forms for the Free & Reduced Meal Program, as there are also other household benefits to qualifying for that program.
