Garden City, NY (PRWEB) August 26, 2014

NAPW honors Debra J. Justin, Ph.D., M.A., as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Dr. Justin is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.

I was in the US Navy for 20 years and worked as an Intelligence Officer, says Dr. Justin, who has also held positions with the United States Department of Defense and worked as a Homeland Security Analyst.

During her tenure in the Navy, Dr. Justin was assigned with the Special Operations Command Central (SOCCENT). Then the most senior woman in the command, she was deployed to Egypt in 1995 for a military exercise, where she worked and lived in tents in the middle of the desert for 40 days.

Fluent in Arabic and Spanish, Dr. Justins other skills include international relations and public speaking. She has taught a number of effective communication and biblical symbolism courses at a community college level. Currently, Dr. Justin is deciding on her next career move. I am interested in working in a museum; I am very interested in the decorative arts and how museums such as the Smithsonian preserve quality furnishings. Also, teaching either at a church or college is another option. I am fascinated by the symbols of the Bible and their deeper meanings, says Dr. Justin.

Along with her esteemed military background, Dr. Justin has a Ph.D. in Communications Arts & Science from Emmanuel Baptist University, a Doctor of Ministry from Next Dimension University and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Museum Education from George Washington University.

NAPWs mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
