Posted: Updated:
The Jamestown Police Department has issued an advisory for drivers that the Fourth Avenue East viaduct is closed until later on Monday.

NewsDakota.com is reporting that after Saturday's heavy rainfall, sediment from the flooding was knocked loose and had caused a motorcyclist to lose control of his bike. He and his female passenger were treated at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. Crews are scheduled to remove the sediment and debris from the viaduct.

During the torrential downpour, three to six inches of rain were reported in the streets. The most rain reported in Jamestown during the downpour was 5.39 inches.
