Paul McCartney Rocks the Fargodome

Posted: Updated:
FARGO, N.D. -- Paul McCartney is 72, but he didn't look his age Saturday night at the Fargodome. Nearly 18,000 screaming fans helped him keep the energy high. There was a lot of screaming and of course, everyone knew the words to the former Beatle's songs.

McCartney started the concert with "8 Days a Week", it was one of the first songs of his career. When Sir Paul walked onstage there was no quieting the crowd.

Paul McCartney is considered one of the most influential acts in rock and roll history, and one of the most successful composers and performers of all time.

His band arrived Friday to start unloading the stage set, lights and instruments. And, just a few hours ago band members fine tuned everything before the big show.

Thousands of fans startled to trickle into the Fargodome, some even as early as two o'clock in the afternoon.

The Fargodome's general manager told us this event took several weeks of planning. EVAC and Fargo police patrolled the parking lot and building.
