Man Accused In Otter Tail Co. Murder Pleads Not Guilty

Posted: Updated:
The man accused of murdering his nephew in Otter Tail County, Minnesota two years ago, says he's not guilty of second degree murder.

Michael Alan Burris says self-defense and intoxication were factors in the May 2012 death of Scott Burris.

Prosecutors say he was the only one there when the alleged crime happened, and that Michael Alan had always denied any involvement.

Burris could face a trial in September at the earliest.

The victim's cousin, Michael Kyle Burris, is also facing charges in the case.

His trial is in late August.
