Fargo Group Wants To End Oil By Rail

Posted: Updated:

A group of activists protested in downtown Fargo on Wednesday, calling for the end of oil on trains.

Members of South Agassiz Resource Council raised a banner to highlight the more than 40 BNSF trains that travel through Cass County a week.

The event is part of an international week of action to end oil by rail.

A year ago this week marks the one-year anniversary of when a oil train derailed in Quebec, killing 47 people.
