Backed by $5 Million to Develop Mobility Solutions Conceived by Inventor-Entrepreneurs

NEW YORK, July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Entrepreneur Daymond John, CEO and Founder of urban clothing company FUBU and star of ABC's business reality show Shark Tank, today announced the launch of Moguls Mobile by Daymond John, a lifestyle technology brand for mobile professionals. The company is leveraging John's expertise in both creating fresh product concepts and bringing ideas from independent inventors to market in order to meet the technology needs of today's business travelers.

The initial Moguls Mobile product line – consisting of eight technology accessories and services – includes a Bluetooth magnetic keyboard for the iPhone and a locator service for lost devices. The company will sell direct to consumers through its website.

Product development is being financed by a $5 million investment commitment from GS Venture Partners LLC. Ideas can be submitted for consideration through a secure innovation platform, managed by Edison Nation, at http://Pitch.MogulsMobile.com

"Entrepreneurs today are the new rock stars.  There are 'mogulpreneurs' from all walks of life with rags-to-riches stories.  Moguls Mobile was created to tap into that rich vein of creativity to provide better mobility solutions for people who spend much of their lives on the road or in the air," John said. "We are developing products and services in-house, but we are also acquiring and commercializing ideas from inventors. In effect, we are seeding a new generation of moguls focused on the mobile space."

"Everyone knows Daymond's skill at identifying product ideas that will fly in the market and at working with entrepreneurs to bring those ideas to life," said David Borish and Gregg Smith, co-founders of Moguls Mobile. "This is an opportunity for people with mobile product and service concepts to partner with Daymond, see their ideas move from brainstorm to reality, and reap the financial rewards as well as the satisfaction of seeing their products in use on their next plane ride."

The first eight Moguls Mobile products are:

  • Magneti™ Bluetooth Magnetic Qwerty Keyboard + Case, a protective iPhone case with a full backlit QWERTY keyboard that attaches to the case magnetically so that the keyboard can be kept separate and used only when needed.
  • Moguls Locator Lost & Found Service, which provides customized locator tags for users to place on their mobile devices, tablets, headphones, laptops, keys, bags, and other important items. Available in the U.S. only, the service includes 24/7 phone access to a team of live recovery assistants who will arrange for the return of lost items when found.
  • Conferencer™ Bluetooth Speaker + Microphone
  • Chargego Multi-Device Mobile Charger
  • Mogul Mirror Screen Protector
  • Moguls B2 Charging Cases for Samsung Galaxy
  • Bluetooth Qwerty Keyboard + Case for Samsung Galaxy S4
  • Privacy, Impact and No-Glare Screen Protectors Using Dynashield
