Authorities Investigate Suspicious Death in McIntosh, MN

  Authorities are investigating a suspicious death in McIntosh, Minnesota.  McIntosh is 60-miles east of Grand Forks on Highway 2.

  At this point, authorities have not released the man’s name or any details in the case.

  The man’s body was found in his home, just a block north of downtown McIntosh on Saturday morning.

Robert Theis, Neighbor: “This guy came over and went in the house and called 9-1-1. They tried to tell him how to do CPR. He said there was no use because there was no heartbeat.”

Reporter: “He was gone?”

Theis: “Yeah.”

  Theis says the man was disabled and confined to a wheelchair. He says the man’s son also stayed in the home from time to time.

Robert Theis, Neighbor: “His son lived there some fo the time I think.”

Reporter: “You saw them just take out 1 person?”

Theis: “That’s what the neighbor lady says she saw. There’s only one. The cop said there’s only 1 dead.”

Reporter: “No idea what happened?”

Theis: “Nope.”

  Neighbors say Polk County Investigators spent all day Saturday and Sunday at the scene, at this point, they haven’t released any other details in the case.

  The man’s body was transported to UND’s Medical Examiner's office in Grand Forks for an autopsy. 

  Polk County Investigators say more information will be released, once they receive autopsy results.
