A man is drying off in the Cass County Jail Wednesday night after a wild chase with Moorhead Police that ended in the Red River. Police say 40-year-old Carlos Trevino was wanted on a felony warrant in Clay County.

The Moorhead Police Department was responding to a disturbance when Trevino ran from them and jumped into the Red River around 3:00 Wednesday afternoon. He tried swimming across, but ended up clinging to a log close to the shore of Lindenwood Park.

Fargo Police and rescue boats were called out to assist Moorhead officers, and were eventually able to coax Trevino to shore without any problems. He is being held in the Cass County Jail and will likely face more charges for running from police.
