Original Story:
A Fargo man is facing Felony Murder charges after a shooting incident at a north side home Thursday night.

Police arrested Christopher Paul Hampton, who's 24, after interviewing him as a person of interest in the case. Officers would not say what kind of gun was used, but they say they did find the firearm. Officers also say another person was in the home at the time of the shooting. That person is considered a witness and is being interviewed.

Officers responded to the 100 block of 7th Avenue North just after 8:30 Thursday night after reports of gunshots and found the victim unresponsive.  He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police have not named the victim but say he was a 28-year-old man who lived at the home with Hampton.  His
identity will be released after family members have been contacted.

Police say the investigation is still active. Officers will be re-grouping at noon on Friday and going over evidence.
