JADE Learning is offering the Montana 16-hour Renewal Package for licensed Journeyman, Residential, and Master Electricians. The Board-approved Montana electrical continuing education courses are available online, any time, and on any device. The 16-hour Renewal Package includes the 8-hour 2014 NEC Changes Part 1, the 4-hour Introduction to Role of Foreman, and the 4-hour OSHA Safety for Electricians. These courses cover the most important 2014 NEC updates, how to improve leadership and management skills, and how to be safe on the job.

All individuals licensed as a Montana Journeyman, Residential or Master Electricians, must renew their licenses by Tuesday, July 15, 2014. The Montana State Electrical Board requires 16 hours of continuing education for each renewal cycle, and eight of the sixteen hours must cover the National Electrical Code updates. All 16 hours can be taken online: Montana Electrical Continuing Education.

Here are the steps to renewing a Montana Journeyman, Residential, or Master Electrical license:

Step 1. Complete all 16 of the required Montana electrical continuing education hours. With JADE Learning, licensees can work on the courses at any time from any computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. The courses can be completed over the next few weeks, or the courses can be completed back-to-back in 16 hours. JADE Learning courses have the most updated Montana electrical continuing education content and instructor support is just a click away. After completing a course online, certificates can even be immediately emailed to a licensee's inbox.

Step 2. Wait for the hours to be reported to the Montana State Electrical Board. JADE Learning reports continuing education hours electronically every business day. Email notifications are sent to licensees once the hours have been reported to the Board. The continuing education hours should post to the Boards site within a day. Check the status of reported hours online at the Montana State Electrical Board website.

Step 3. Submit the Montana license renewal form online. The required fee to renew an active Master, Journeyman, or Residential Electrician license is $200. There is a $200 late fee, so make sure to renew by the July 15th, 2014, deadline to keep an active license. Check the status of electrical licenses online at the Montana State Electrical Board website.

After an individual's license has been renewed, he or she will be able to continue working as a Montana Journeyman, Residential, or Master Electrician until the end of the next Montana license renewal cycle on July 15, 2016. Count on JADE Learning to offer industry-specific, relevant courses that are well-written and engaging.
