Food Dudes is Changing the Restaurant Industry

Posted: Updated:
Usually when you hear the word "delivery," most think of pizza. Now you can have steak and shrimp delivered to your door. That is thanks to Food Dudes.

You may have seen the cars or heard the name; Food Dudes. It is a small business that delivers food from restaurants to your home or office in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

"These restaurants are a little higher end, and are already set-up for to go orders," says the Fargo Food Dudes Owner, Dan Rosenthal.

You fill out your order on their website and it's picked up and delivered to you in about 40 minutes for only five dollars. Since the service started a year and half ago, they have added 20 restaurants to their website.

"We have added huge restaurants chains like Ruby Tuesdays, Famous Dave's, and Paradiso," says Rosenthal.

At Doolittles Woodfire Grill in Fargo,  they have elected not to use the Food Dudes service and the manager tells says the prime reason is they want to give the best service possible to the guest visiting the restaurants.  Some restaurants are against the service, but others say it keeps their business out of the red.

"It has been a really good thing for us, especially with the road construction right now. It brings in a lot of business we would not have and it is really easy. We just get orders sent here, ring them in, and they come and pick them up," says Ruby Tuesday Manager, Amber Spitzer.

Food dudes say their service is really a benefit for busy restaurants and hungry people when there are not tables available.

"We're able to send in orders, make the food, take the order, and deliver the food faster than then they would be able to sit down, get ready and order food," says Rosenthal.
