Fargo Shed Destroyed in Overnight Fire

Posted: Updated:
A shed in Fargo has been destroyed, possibly started by lightning. The Fargo Fire Department says they were called out to the fire around 1 AM Thursday morning at 2114 27th Avenue South in Fargo.

Firefighters say neighbors saw a lightning strike close by and shortly after noticed the shed on fire. The shed was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived but crews quickly put out the flames. No one was hurt.

There was also extensive damage to the wooden fence and tree next to the shed.  The building and contents were a total loss and damage is estimated to be at $6,500.

The cause is still officially undetermined, but lightning is a possibility.
