Massive Storm System Unleashes Tornadoes in Nebraska

A massive storm system has unleashed multiple tornadoes in portions of Nebraska Monday afternoon. So far, the worst damage is believed to be near Stanton, Nebraska. Twin tornadoes were spotted near Pilger, Nebraska.

The Weather Channel reported on its Twitter feed that a large tornado caused "significant damage" near Stanton. The National Weather Service also said several homes had been destroyed in Pilger.

The video attached to this story shows two tornadoes spinning across farmland in eastern Nebraska caught on camera by storm chasers.

Much of eastern Nebraska, northern Iowa and southern Minnesota had tornado watches or warnings issued throughout Monday afternoon. The entire region was under a "moderate" risk of severe storms through the rest of the day.
