Former NDSU Football Player Shows More Progress After Skull Surgery

Posted: Updated:
After completing a bone replacement surgery Friday morning, former NDSU football player Isaac Kolstad stood up for the first time in over four weeks.

Kolstad just completed surgery to replace a piece of bone doctors removed from his skull yesterday.

He has been hospitalized since he sustained a head injury during an assault in downtown Mankato over a month ago.

After recovering from the surgery, Kolstad began speech therapy and physical therapy.

During physical therapy, Kolstad was able to sit on the edge of the bed with assistance, as well as stand up at least three times.
