DISCUSSION: We'll see some partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures across the area on this Labor Day Monday. This afternoon, some of those clouds will build and we could see a few scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs today will top out in the 70s with winds out of the northwest from 5 to 15 MPH with some stronger gusts. Tonight we'll see variable cloudiness and cool temperatures with lows in the 50s and winds light out of the west around 5 to 10 MPH. Look for plenty of sunshine on Tuesday and temperatures a degree or two warmer than today. By Wednesday, even warmer weather moves into the region, along with more humidity. By late in the day, expect some storms that could linger into Thursday. Right now it looks like quieter and cooler weather is in store as we wrap up the week and head into the first weekend of September.
TODAY: Partly cloudy. Chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Wind: NW 5 to 15 mph. High: 76.
