"Already for it's first year it's exceeding my expectations which is great," Hodo Manager, Jason Laun told Valley News Live. "It's a lot of really fun independent restaurants opening up and this is just a great week for everybody to come downtown and see what we have to offer because every place has something very unique."
For restaurant owners, it's all about getting people into the city during the slow summer months. Mezzaluna Owner, Eric Watson says it's the ultimate diner's discount event.

"This is a great experience to introduce yourself to Mezzaluna without spending a lot of money," said Watson. "You can come in spend $30 get a three course upscale dinning experience."

Special three course tasting menus start at $20 per person and range up to $30. Lunch menus start at seven bucks. It's the perfect chance to return to an old favorite or even try something new.

"We'd love to see more restaurants join for next year," said Nicole Holden, Fargo Moorhead Convention and Visitor Bureau marketing director. "And, we'd love to just see the community continue to embrace our locally owned restaurants."

This year's festival runs until June eighth.

The Fargo Moorhead Convention and Visitor Bureau is already planning for next year's restaurant week.
