Pilot With Fargo Ties Dies In A Wisconsin Air Show Crash

Posted: Updated:
Air safety officials are trying to determine what caused the crash that killed a pilot with ties to the Fargo area.

Bill Cowden's plane went down while performing an aerial maneuver at the Stevens Point Air Show in Wisconsin yesterday afternoon.

Cowden was a volunteer for the Fargo air museum.

Witnesses to the crash said Cowden's plane spiraled toward the ground, looped up, and then crashed into the trees next to the airport's airfield.
