Flooding In Fergus Falls Turns Into Swimming Hole

Posted: Updated:
Our reporter Nicole Johnson headed out to Fergus Falls where the sheriff's office says water was high enough to cover the hoods of cars this evening.

Luckily, police say the storm is subsiding, and the water all around town is already decreasing.

At NP Park the flooding has turned the playground into a sort of swimming hole.

Officers say no one was hurt in the heavy downpour, but they spent the evening replacing manhole covers where the backflow of storm drains were so strong. The lids were carried off.

Police officers say the Otter Tail River is still very high and dangerous. They ask everyone to keep a safe distance.
