Fargo Mayoral Candidates Face Off In Their Fourth Debate

Posted: Updated:
The two candidates running for the mayor of Fargo squared-off in their fourth debate today at the KFGO Studios.

The diversion, downtown renaissance zone, and possibility of a new convention center were just a few of the topics discussed.

The two also talked about making the mayor position full-time because of the growing population.

Currently, the position is considered part time.

"It should be a fulltime paid position but it is not for me to make that decision," Current Mayor, Dennis Walaker said.

"I think as long as we have a city manger that it is not needed but that will be investigated very quickly," said Walaker’s opponent, Brad Wimmer.

The election is June 10th.

Remember, with this year's election, a state-issued ID is needed when voting at the polls.
