Posted: Updated:
A large party came to a quick end when a Clay County Deputy noticed a lot of traffic on a normally quiet road late Sunday night.

Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist says his deputy was driving in the area near Rollag, MN when he noticed a lot of lights and traffic around midnight. The party was on the Clay-Becker County line. Sheriff Bergquist says the deputy came across about 75 cars and more than 100 kids.

A lot of kids ran off and left their vehicles. Deputies had to call their parents to come and get the cars.

Dozens of tickets were handed out. Many of the citations were for minor consuming, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and DWI.

Sheriff Bergquist says it appears the students were from several different towns in the area.
