Some Graduates Say Getting Diploma Feels Like A Second Chance

A second chance for graduates Of all ages and backgrounds. Thursday night 93 students graduated from the Fargo Adult Learning Center. They walked across the stage to get their GED. One graduate quit school at 15 when she got pregnant. And now, at 19, with two kids she wants to become a police officer.

"I mean I was young when I had my first, so I hope she looks at me as even though you are young you can still manage to get your school done, and do the things you want to do in life, you know a kid is not going to stop you, everyone thinks that, but it's you who has to put work into it, a lot of work," says Tayla Henry.

This was the 33rd graduating class from the Fargo Adult Learning Center, but the first to graduate using new computer-based learning.
