Driver, Passenger Unhurt After Train Hits Car in WF

Posted: Updated:
A Fargo woman and her passenger escaped injury when her car was hit by a train early Thursday morning, but most of the front of her vehicle was ripped off.

West Fargo Police say the car's engine was intact, but the radiator and other under-the-hood components were scattered along the tracks. It happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 500 block of 9th Street Northeast in West Fargo. Police say the car either drove around the crossing arm or was on the tracks when the crossing arm came down.

The driver, 31-year-old Amanda Hageman of Fargo, was arrested for DUI. Neither she nor her passenger were hurt.
