Students Quiz West Acres Shoppers on their Constitutional Knowledge

Shoppers at West Acres mall weren't just balancing their pocketbooks and looking for sales on Friday, they were also quizzed on some American history. The Liberty Day Kids from Bennett Elementary school were in the food court asking trivia questions about the U.S. Constitution.

It's a project the students volunteered to do outside of their regular school day. They tell us about half of the customers at the mall got the constitution facts right when asked.  The students say the project serves as a good reminder for people to brush up on their constitutional knowledge.

"I think a lot of people forget about it after they've studied it because I've had a lot of people say that they studied it, and they memorized it, and then they forgot about it," explains 5th Grader Ryleigh Wacha.

The kids also handed out free pocket-sized copies of the U.S. Constitution to shoppers.
