Two people are behind bars after Moorhead Police made a significant drug bust this week. Melissa Ann Desjarlait, 30, and Harry Samuel Desjarlait, 34, were arrested and are currently being held in the Clay County Jail pending a Long Form Complaint for Felony level drug charges. Police say the two suspects are married, and the woman involved also uses the name Melissa Ann Christiansen.

Around 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Moorhead Police officers conducted a traffic stop in relation to an on-going drug investigation.  A K9 search around the vehicle indicated drugs were inside.  During a search of the vehicle, Methamphetamines and a large amount of cash were seized.

A short time later, a search warrant was executed at the vehicle occupants’ residence of 632 12th Street North in Moorhead where more drugs were seized.

Police found
19.8 grams of Methamphetamine, 18.6 grams of Heroin, .8 grams of Marijuana, unauthorized prescription pills, and $12,642 in cash. The 2012 Chevrolet Impala involved in the traffic stop was also seized. Moorhead police estimate the street value of the drugs is more than $13,000.
