South Beloit owner of Apex Exteriors and Berkland Development seeks to expand real estate venture to grow local commerce community

SOUTH BELOIT, Ill., May 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Local land developer, Berkland Development, invests in South Beloit land with hopes of growing the local business community.

Business owner turned land developer, Jim Stringham of Berkland Development, is making strides toward developing the local community where he grew up and is now raising his children.  "South Beloit is at the perfect intersection between Wisconsin and Illinois. It's right off of 90 and I think, has great growth potential for local businesses and in return, for our community."

As the owner of Apex Exteriors, an exterior restoration company, Stringham decided he wanted to plant his roots right where he grew up and purchased a strip mall located across from South Beloit High School.  "As a business owner who gets a lot of business from the local community as well as local businesses like ABC Supply and Gambino, the least I could do was re-invest locally into the area that has allowed these opportunities."   The occupancy rate has more than doubled since Berkland Development purchased the mall and tenant, Bravo's Pizza, has expanded their services to include a banquet, bar and gaming area.
