The Fargo Force surrendered three players on Monday to the Bloomington Thunder for the first pick of the third round in phase 2 of the 2014 USHL draft and a tender. With that tender the Force signed Roseau's Zach Yon, who was a finalist for Minnesota's Mr. Hockey award this past season.
Yon netted 33 goals and recorded 36 assists for the 8th highest point total in Minnesota prep hockey last season. The University of North Dakota commit was a co-captain for the Rams last year. USHL rules state that any player who is tendered will be on their respective teams' roster next season and play at least 55% of their teams' regular season games.
The Force traded defenseman Butrus Ghafari along with affiliate players, forward Ethan Spaxman and defenseman Jacob Slaker to Bloomington for the pick.
