UPDATE

During the course of the investigation into Andrew Sadek's disappearance, NDSCS campus police learned that warrants for Sadek's arrest have been issued. The warrants were issued on Friday, May 9, after NDSCS began the investigation.

Court records out of Richland County show two incidents involving drugs on April 4 and April 9, 2013. Sadek was charged with Delivery within 1000 feet of a school. Police say Sadek delivered 2.22 grams of marijuana in a parking lot on the NDSCS campus in Wahpeton on April 4, 2013. Another delivery of 1.3 grams of marijuana was made on April 9, 2013 in the same parking lot. Sadek is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Valley News Live has reached out to the Wahpeton Police Department, Richland County Sheriff's Office and an area Drug Task Force but none were able to elaborate on why the warrant was issued now, more than a year later while Sadek is still missing. The Assistant State's Attorney for Richland County tells Valley News Live t
he timing of the warrants, issued after the search for Sadek began, is coincidence.
After learning of the charges, and following consultation with Sadek's parents and other law enforcement agencies, the NDSCS campus police department say they've focused the investigation on finding Andrew Sadek and on his safe return.

Sadek was reported missing by his roommates in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 1 and hasn't been seen since. NDSCS police and Richland County have conducted several searches of area land and rivers, but have come up with no clues.
