White Separatist In North Dakota Released From Custody

Posted: Updated:
White separatist Craig Cobb is released from custody and now on probation after a South Central District Court Judge accepted his plea deal Tuesday morning.

Judge David Reich sentenced Craig Cobb to four years supervised probation on five counts of menacing and one felony count of terrorizing.
The judge gave Cobb credit for time served.  It was part of the plea deal reached in February but the Judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation before accepting it.

While the legal battle is done, Leith residents say the situation isn't over.

"There was no justice served in my opinion at all," said Leith Mayor Ryan Schock.  "Like I said in there, yea I'm glad it's over with, I don't have to do this next week or 2 months or 3 months, but there's no closure to it."

Cobb says he's trying to get his probation transferred to Missouri so he can take care of his mother.  Craig Cobb said he regrets what he did and takes full responsibility for carrying a gun in a threatening manner in the city of Leith, North Dakota.
